Legacies, Donations and Life Insurance

Give or leave to the Foundation Abbé Pierre with total exemption of inheritance and transfer taxes.

Dignity as a legacy

During your lifetime, you can donate to the Foundation in various forms: real estate, object of value or funds. It usually is a donation made through a notary (full title or temporary usufruct).

You can also choose to take out a life insurance policy and designate the Foundation as one of the beneficiaries; your insurer, your banker, the Caisse d'Epargne or the Banque Postale can help you draw up this contract.

And last but not least, you can leave a gift behind! There are three types of bequests: universal bequest, outright bequest or specific bequest. Before your passing, you can cancel this gesture at any moment.

The amount of gifts generated by a legacy left to a foundation recognised as promoting the public interest and executed by the inheritors, donors or legatees is exempt of inheritance tax.

In 2011-2012, 111 persons contributed to the actions of the Foundation through bequests, donations or life insurances. These forms of support are vital to the Foundation and to those whose lives have been changed by them.
